Christian Mindfulness Defined

If mindfulness is defined as: being aware of what is happening around you and inside of you, at the present moment without judgement; then Christian Mindfulness is bringing that awareness before the feet of God in prayer and dealing with it together.

I think Christ brings mindfulness to a whole new level. As we are tapping into the deep, still, quiet of who we are before God’s Spirit, He is meeting us in that secret place with all of His fullness, unfailing love, pure righteousness, perfect provision, and keen wisdom. This is not only the quiet place where we drop our guard and process, but it’s where our present needs are perfectly met.

Christian Mindfulness is not only where we become aware of the present moment, but where we also find exactly what we need in the present moment. This is an incredible combination.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 NIV
